Providing expert and affordable compliance since 1989

Periodic Inspection & Testing

Selleck Testing offer a full NICEIC approved Periodic Inspection and Testing service. This involves testing the electrical wiring circuits and systems that distribute energy around a building. It includes all the hard wiring in a building be it a commercial, industrial or domestic property. All electrical circuits in a building that are fixed, such as lighting, power sockets, air conditioning and machinery need to be regularly inspected and tested to ensure compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations

Why is testing required ?

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 clearly states that all electrical systems and equipment used in the workplace should be in a safe condition.

The Health & Safety Executive recommend that in order to comply with these regulations, an inspection and testing programme should be adopted.

The IET recommend maximum periods between inspections and they are:

Factories - 3 Years
Commercial Properties - 5 Years
Domestic - 10 Years

All  testing is carried out to BS 7671:2001. All our engineers are qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 and 2 and City & Guilds 2391, are uniformed and are highly experienced

Reporting

The report produced is supplied on AMTECH software and printed on NICEIC computer friendly forms. This report highlights by category of urgency any necessary remedial repair or action in an “easy to read format”. Additionally our highly skilled and experienced engineers are always happy to assist you in your further understanding of the report.

Pen with Tick in Box

For your additional convenience we are also able to produce full schematic and circuit diagrams of your installation at very competitive rates. This is particularly beneficial since it will greatly assist in the future identification and management of your installation.

Why use Selleck Testing

We are dedicated to the provision of periodic inspection and testing. This is our area of expertise and allows us to take a wholly independent view when testing an installation. We feel that this offers greater credibility and value. However, if needed we can recommend reliable, NICEIC approved partner electrical contractors to assist you.
